The ingredients needed to make Chilli chicken:
  1. Make ready Boneless chicken 300 gm,garlic paste 1 tbsp,ginger paste 1 tsp,
  2. Get Egg 1piece, flour 2tbsp,corn flour 4tbsp,salt,sugar,vinegar 2tsp
  3. Get Black pepper powder 3tbsp,white oil,onion 3 pieces, garlic 2 pcs
  4. Get Capsicum 2 pieces, tomato 2 pieces, green chilli 3 pieces,
  5. Prepare 1 cup Tomato sauce, soya sauce as required, water

Though mainly boneless chicken is used in this dish, some people also use bone-in chicken too. Instructions to make Chilli chicken:
  1. Capsicum, tomatoes are cut into cubes.peel onions into petals and cut green chilli, garlic cloves into small pieces.
  2. Marinate the chicken with ginger-garlic paste, egg,flour, corn flour 2 tbsp,salt, sugar, black pepper powder 1tbsp,white oil 1tbsp,vinegar 1 tbsp,soya sauce 1tsp for 1 hour and 30 mins.
  3. After that, take kadai and 3 tbsp white oil in it and heat it.
  4. Make the chicken pokoras deep fry from both sides and keep it in a bowl.
  5. Add garlic,onion petals, Capsicum, tomatoes and saute it in high flame for 5 mins.
  6. When they become soft, add green chilli, soya sauce, tomato sauce,sugar and salt as per taste.
  7. Add the pokoras in it and mix it well.
  8. Add half cup water in it.
  9. 1tsp corn flour mixed with half cup water and pour it into the kadai.
  10. When it becomes dry,turn off the gas. Now it is ready to serve.

The gravy chilli chicken is more popular as a side to either chowmein or with fried rice. Chilli chicken is an indo chinese version of making chicken which has become quite popular in India.
