- Melt butter in 10" cast iron skillet over medium heat. Add brown sugar, stirring constantly for 1-2 mins until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and place 1 pie crust in skillet over the brown sugar mixture. Spoon apples over pie crust. Top with remaining pie crust. Whisk egg white until foamy. Brush top of pie crust with egg white. Sprinkle 2 Tsp sugar. Cut 4-5 slits on top.
- Bake at 350 for 1hr - 1hr 10mins Orr until golden brown & bubbly; shielding with alum foil the last 10 mins to stop browning (if necessary). Cool 30 mins. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
